Lee Quinones rides the 2009 Chevy Traverse through the March snowstorm in New York City. Here are his findings —

The interior compartment of the 2009 Chevrolet Traverse is super comfy and keeps the outside world decibels at bay. All control knobs which is what I first look for to be at a moments glance away are placed nicely in veiw. The Bose system booms appropriately.

With all those seats behind you with the head restraints in place, it may seem like you have a whole car load of lump sided big headed people in tow. Visibility is a little hampered. I like to be able to see every thing and then some when backing up or keeping a peak behind in such big vehicles. The seats are plush and bright enough in material color to make it feel bigger on the inside.

The Traverse’s power output is pretty nice for such a behemoth and it shows on the gas gauge too, so keep the wallet open on every mile. The exterior color which is a darkened turquoise is cool city and lends itself to an already packed market of dull metallic colors. It handles really nicely and is firm on the cratered streets. Super nice in the deep snow, if 5″ is deep enough for ya.

LQ.
